If you are looking for the fastest way to lose weight and tone up through exercise, then you want to circuit train.
So what is circuit training? It is a very simple concept actually. You can take any number of exercises and perform them back to back with very little rest, and voila, you have your circuit! To get the maximum benefits, I suggest 2 rounds of each circuit for beginners, and 3 for intermediate to advanced exercisers.
For this type of training to be effective, it is imperitive that you plan your workout ahead of time and set up any equipment you need before you get started, so there is minimal time between exercises. The trick is to keep your heart rate up the whole time.
Always warm up with some light cardiovascular exercise and don’t rush through your weight lifting. Lastly, be sure to stretch each muscle group at the end of your workout.
